We are happy to announce that the Adult Ranking Competitions Standard and Latin will be performed for the first time as “WDSF World Open”. Within this format the participating couples get a lot more of world ranking points than in regular WDSF International Open Comps. ( For example: the winner gets 320 basis points instead of 200 basis points in an International Open )
In addition, a fixed price money will be paid to the couples that makes the final.

As every year there are lots of "souvenirs" we found at the end of the festival.
The Lost and Found center will close on 29th July.

After the award ceremony of the WDSF International Open Latin, the 8th danceComp was over for this year. The last gold medallists come from Germany: Marius-Andrei Balan/Nina Bezzubova beat all the other 122 couples. The Italians Vincenzo Mariniello/Sara Casini climbed the second step of the rostrum. Pavel Zvychaynyy/Sarah-Sophie Ritz became third.

The second to last tournament of the 8th danceComp was the competition of the WDSF Senior I Standard. During the final there was a duel between the acting world champions Tassilo Lax/Sabine Lax from Germany and the runners-up Stefano Bernardini/Stefania Mertellini from Italy. Finally, Bernardini/Mertellini gained the gold medals and the couple Lax became second. Pierre Payen/Isabelle Reyjal climbed the third step of the podium.
